We'll be doing the trip in my 2009 Jeep Wrangler. We are aware that doing this trip in one vehicle is risky, however we believe if we're sufficiently prepared we can avert disaster if something was to happen to the Jeep. Its got a 2 inch lift kit on it, 285/75R16 Kumho KC11 studded winter tires, a 12 000lb Titan winch, LOD front stubby bumper, and 4 Hella 500 auxiliary lights. I will be installing the Gobi Stealth rack this weekend that has just arrived this week. We'll be spending a good amount of time in this coming week trying to pack all of our gear in the most logical way possible, so we'll actually know where everything is! We've got 4 Sceptor military jerry cans for the roof which will hold 80 litres of spare fuel, which should double our driving range to roughly 1000 kms. We'll be taking two spare tires, shovels, axe, sledge hammer, a hi-lift jack, a lot of tow straps and shackles, snatch block, tree savers, etc, etc. We'll post our packing list somewhere in case anyone is interested.
